SENIORS A GO GO

Seniors A Go Go provides seniors with escorted, door-through-door transportation, reducing the number of missed appointments and providing savings!

*Please note some services have been modified to ensure safety and comply with COVID-19 guidelines.

Seniors A Go Go is a volunteer driver program that provides transportation so seniors stay mobile and connected to their communities.

When driving a car is no longer an option, seniors maintain an independent, active lifestyle by scheduling rides to medical appointments, errands, exercise classes, social activities and more. Clients request rides in advance, allowing plenty of time for ElderHelp to carefully coordinate details for pick up, drop off or even door-through- door options.

Safe, reliable transportation provided by trained and vetted volunteers ensures regular access to
medical care, visits with friends and family, and the freedom to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Title VI Notice to the Public

Seniors A Go Go operates its transportation service without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint. SELF ADVOCACY

ElderHelp’s programs are structured to help older adults maintain their independence. It is essential that you, as our client, are able to communicate directly with us, complete assessments and interviews, and maintain a schedule. Currently, ElderHelp is unable to assist seniors with moderate to severe cognitive impairment. It is essential that the person needing help makes the initial call to begin services and is able to manage their own appointments and schedules. While it may seem easier to set up services for your loved one, the program will not be successful unless the individual who will be receiving services is interested, informed and engaged. ElderHelp does recognize the importance of a good support system and how valuable family is to the team.

“After a fall in my bathroom, I thought I might need to go to a nursing home.  But Vivian took me to my weekly physical therapy visits, and I could feel my self-esteem coming back.  My son is close by, but I don’t want to be a burden.  I love knowing I can take care of myself.”
