Position Expectations ElderHelp’s Transportation Assistant is an organized, patient, flexible and adaptable person with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
POSITION SUMMARY The Transportation Assistant handles a wide range of support-related tasks for the Seniors A Go Go program. The Transportation Assistant works closely with the Transportation Coordinator to help seniors access transportation and ensure the day-to-day functions of the program are met.
REPORTS TO Transportation Coordinator
Helps the Transportation Coordinator return all voicemails and schedule rides
Interfaces with clients to provide ride updates and other important program information
Schedules and coordinates a minimum of 6 field trips each year for enrolled clients
Maintains monthly program statistics and submits to supervisor on time
Assists with member enrollments and discharges
Attends program team meetings as needed and directed by Transportation Coordinator
Provides rides to members as needed and directed by Transportation Coordinator
Uses RideScheduler (web-based software) to log ride information
Adheres to ElderHelp’s values and mission
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate is detail and deadline oriented as well as organized. The candidate must be prompt and have excellent communication skills. Experience working with seniors preferred.
COMPENSATION This is a part time position. 20-25 hours per week. Hourly wage of $11.50-$12.50/hour.
