Pledge FAQ's
Why should I participate?
Funding for seniors in general is only 2% of all philanthropic giving making your pledge even more impactful and necessary.
Your participation in giving to ElderHelp will impact the many San Diego seniors that ElderHelp serves – your pledge will touch hundreds of lives.
The current economy had been especially tough on seniors who have to bear the brunt of reductions in government benefits and pensions. Soon there will be no increase in social security and there will be a reduction in many programs and services that low income seniors depend on. All while the cost of healthcare, home based services and utilities continues to rise.
This is our opportunity to give a hand up to the generation that has given us so much.
Where will the money go?
All pledge proceeds go to support ElderHelp’s programs and services.
What is the minimum pledge? What is the goal?
No pledge or gift is too small! There is no minimum or maximum a person can pledge. The most important goal of the campaign is to get more people in the community pledging. The amount you donate is not important -that you do donate is.
When is my first pledge payment due? When do I have to pay money?
The first pledge payment is due when you submit your pledge form. Depending on your pledge frequency (monthly, quarterly or yearly) is when your next payment is due. Ask us about pledge reminders!
What if I don't want to pledge money and prefer to just make a donation/gift upfront now?
Any gift that you are able to make will be very much appreciated! The pledge form has a place to enter your gift amount. You may make your gift by writing a check to ElderHelp or use your American Express, Discover, Master Card, or Visa card.
