The Essence of Life Awards program is an annual celebration of the lifetime achievements of outstanding older adults. Recipients are chosen by members of the public for their long history of community involvement and leadership. The event draws over 300 local businesses, social and political leaders as well as the friends, family and business associates of each honoree.The Essence of Life program was designed to demonstrate that individuals continue to make important contributions to their communities regardless of age.
